Visit these skate parks on the Lower Peninisula

We are lucky on the Lower Peninsula to have several skate parks to enjoy. From bowls, rails, boxes, and ledges, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Menlo Park, and Mountain View's skate parks keep my kids active, are a great place to meet old friends (and make new friends), and they're FREE!

I often get asked about our local skate parks, so I thought I'd share here with you the skate parks to visit in Palo Alto, Redwood City, Menlo Park, and Mountain View.

Burgess Skate Park

Burgess Park

Menlo Park, CA 

Burgess Skate Park is a 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art skating facility featuring banks, boxes, hubbas, and a rail, plus progressively deeper flow bowls ending in a deep vert and a lot of shade in the afternoon. Skateboarding classes are available. The skate park is located in Burgess Park next to the Arrillaga Family Gymnasium. Helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads are required. Bikes, scooters, razors, and foot traffic is not allowed.

Greer Skate Park

Greer Park

Palo Alto, CA 

Greer Skate Park features three connected bowls and is perfect for all levels of skateboarders. and other street obstacles like boxes and ledges.

Phil Shao Memorial Skate Park

Red Morton Park

Phil Shao Memorial Skate Park is a 13,000 square foot skating facility featuring a small shallow bowl along with a much deeper bowl and a nice ramp. Helmets are required; elbow pads and knee pads are recommended. Bikes are not allowed.

Rengstorff Skatepark

Rengstorff Park

Rengstorff Skatepark features steel pipes, rails, and ramps. Helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads are required. Bikes and scooters are not allowed. The park will be closed if features are wet.
